Born in England, Anna showed an interest in art from an early age. Her passion for art, however, was put on the backburner while she earned a degree in microbiology at the University of Guelph and pursued a career in science. She rediscovered her art about 10 years ago, while taking a career break to raise her family of three boys. Completely self taught, she started selling her art around 5 years ago and is now a full time artist.
Anna specializes in vivid, acrylic landscapes and floral studies. She boldly uses colour and contrast to capture beautiful snapshots of her life & environment. She hopes her work will evoke a joyful response in the viewer and convey her general sense of optimism for life. Most of her inspiration is from her home city of Toronto, her travels and her neighbour’s gardens. Since she works from photographs, you will often see her out and about with her digital camera in hand. Anna is also a member of the Beach Guild of Fine Art in Toronto. She sells her work in galleries, from her home studio, shows or through commissions. |

Pat delights in working with watercolour and acrylics. It is a constant pleasure for her to mix, blend and harmonize colours. Looking at paintings, talking about paintings and particularly creating paintings are great experiences for Pat. She has lived in the Beach for 46 years and her favorite subjects are those right on her own doorstep. “The ravine, the lake and my own garden are the best stimuli one could wish for.” Pat has participated in many shows and exhibitions and those have added to her growth and understanding of the demands of the media she has chosen. |

Dorothy Mould was fortunate to be able to study art at the Ontario College of Art when members of the renowned Group of Seven were still around. One of her instructors was Franklin Carmichael. Dorothy works mostly in oils. Many of her smaller landscapes exhibit bright, bold colours, while her larger paintings tend to be more subdued in their colour palette. And yet all her work captures the essence of the landscape she is invoking – the wind in the trees, the waves out on a lake, or lapping against a shoreline.

Katherine is primarily a landscape painter, and she has spent the last several summers painting on location in the Maritimes, Ontario’s cottage country, and near her former home in the Beach in Toronto. A recent move out of the city to a farm in Hastings County has provided Katherine with unlimited vistas and many new landscapes for inspiration.
Katherine prefers to paint outdoors in the warmer months, and spends her winters painting inside her home studio, where her subject matter includes sketches from her travels, fresh flowers from local markets, and colourful interiors. |

Dianne’s painterly style and abstract sensations are evident in her new series of canvases and new works on paper. Intense colours and flowing movement draw ones eye sometimes stirring the imagination to reveal fragments of imagery as a delightful surprise. Her figurative and landscape pieces will be exhibited as well. Commissions are available throughout the year from loft sizes to small scale. |

Ruth’s life-long passion has been painting. She has a B.A. degree in fine arts and a Master’s Degree in Expressive Arts Therapy. Her paintings have been sold and exhibited throughout Canada and the U.S. with her work in private and corporate collections. Her subject ranges from children and landscape done in a loose expressive style to imagery that reaches into dream-like liminal spaces of the spirit and collective unconscious, tapping into myth and archetype.
Ruth’s work has been described as healing, inspiring and peaceful. She teaches art throughout Toronto, works individually with students and her studio is open by appointment. |
