Zsuzsa Monostory Zsuzsa‘s rich heritage and scientific background as a biologist is highly evident in her sculptural work. Inspired by nature her whimsical, expressive human figures, animal sculptures and narrative compositions are finished in various firing methods including Japanese style Raku, wood and gas firing.Her work is represented in several galleries throughout Ontario as well as in private and public collections. Exhibitions, commissions and sales internationally have resulted numerous awards. She also teaches on a regular basis.

Recently Zsuzsa resides in Toronto and works in her home studio as well as in Williams Mill Creative Art Center – www.williamsmill.com that is located in the charming hamlet of Glen Williams, Ontario.

Zsuzsa was born and raised in Hungary, received her Phd in biology at ELTE University in Budapest. She came to Canada with her family in 1989, worked in Mount Sinai Hospital till her new passion took over biology. A self taught full time artist, who welcomes visitors to her studios.
