I work with stoneware, an ancient tradition as old as human remains! I hand throw, trim and decorate all my pieces. Each is unique and, I hope, delightful to own. I threw my first piece when I was 18 at a potter’s house by the Somerset marshes in England. I trained in Kapuskasing with a francophone teacher and learned the basic skills in the 1980s. Since then I have worked alone, enjoying the solitude of my craft, and broadening my skills as I meet others of the craft.
