Paula is an Ontario certified teacher whose love for the arts led her to studies in Fine Arts, a History of Art (Macdonald College), Mixed Media, Colour and Design (Ontario Ministry of Ed.), and the Chemistry of Clay and Glazes (OCAD).
Created in stoneware and porcelain, Paula’s “functional art” and sculptures have been represented in Toronto shops and galleries, Southampton Outdoor Art Show, private studio shows, and the Beach Studio Tour. She supports the arts through memberships in the AGO, Toronto Potters Association, and the Gardiner Museum.
“The inspiration for my work lies in my surroundings: crisp Y-shapes of branches in motion, patterns in my garden, evening lighting on the stark lines of a cityscape. Of course, there is also the constant lure of manipulating wet clay!”
