Dianne Shelton
It is with regret that we mourn the passing of our long time member Dianne Shelton. As we began planning for this tour she was very much a part of the group as she had been for over 25 years. She died April 19th. Dianne’s studio will be open at #59 Fernwood Park Ave. and Asma Khan will be her contact person as listed on her website..We will miss her and her wonderful talent.
Fine Artist
The need to paint is compelling in my life.
I prefer to work on large canvases and love to explore the vibrancy of colour, mainly in oil, acrylics or encaustic. I like to work both figuratively and abstractly as well as exploring form and colour in landscape to satisfy my creative process. My new figurative work vibrates in colour and is ethereal in essence.
I am a practicing artist in the Beach and for 45 years have exhibited my work in many galleries and other public venues in Toronto. I belong to the Beach Studio Tour and have opened my doors twice a year in its 26 year history. I belong to the Riverdale Artists Network as well.
I have painted many fine art commissions both on canvas as well as interior wall murals. While some of my paintings reside in corporate offices, others have been taken “home” to South Africa, England, USA and Switzerland.
